Vienna and the German Unity

Schloss Schönbrunn, Vienna, Austria

I spent the past weekend in Vienna, taking an exam on Friday and then enjoying the city, the sun, the castles and the food! 3 days are not nearly enough time in this great, beautiful and lively town, but I am sure, that I will be back some day!

Today, I am simply exhausted. The last days were beyond busy, work is busy, the rest of my life is busy and I am very thankful, that today is our National Holiday and that I got to breathe and sleep a little bit today!

It has been 17 years now since the reunification and that is very hard to believe. Soon, there will be adults, that grew up in an entirely whole Germany, how cool is that? There’s also no denying, that there still are many many problems, that politics and all of us germans must solve together! However, today is still a day, where we celebrate the fact, that all germans now live in a free country. Together!

Glad you got to grab some time for yourself. Hope the testing went well. My brother and his wife just returned from Vienna, his first time there and he loved it. He also spent time in Munich and came back raving about how „friendly“ the Germans treated them while there 🙂

    I tried to tell him… 🙂
